NYX's eyeshadow palette: Warm Rust

Hi guys!

Today I would like to share with you about this NYX's eyeshadow palette. I bought the palette Warm Rust, which has the combination of brown, nude tone as well as the red and peach orange colour.

NYX have released different eyeshadow palettes, and I think this is one of the most popular one since the colour is the most practical even to use it for a daily makeup.

12 colour eyeshadow palette: Warm Rust

From the photo above, as you can see that there are 4 main colours in the palette, the lightest nude, orange, red and brown. It comes with matte, shimmer and glitter which you can layer on top of each other to make the eye look complete.

I am still trying out different eye look and recently has just posted a photo on the eye makeup look that I do. I uses this palette to create a daily eye makeup look which you can carry even to work or school, regardless wearing formal or casual wear.

I have included the link above to my instagram account on the makeup I've did. You guys may want to take a look if interested! 😊

Here above shows the swatch of all 12 colours (Right most : Matte, Middle : Shimmer  Left most: Glitter)

I really loves the colours in the palette and just by using this palette, you can complete you eye makeup without dapping into other palettes.

With the different texture of the eyeshadows, it gives more depth to the makeup look. You can create different types of makeup using this. Regardless for a daily makeup look, or even a party look.

However, as you can see that the colours are very strong, you need to lightly layer on to prevent having too strong of the colour on the lids.

The eyeshadow may fall all over the eyes, please do tap off the excess on the brushes before applying it on the lids.

Other than that, I think the colours and texture and nice. And it is really cheap!! For an eyeshadow palette, with 12 colours, it only cost S$35. πŸ‘

I am still trying out different eye look using this palette, so for those who are interested to know please follow my instagram profile closely as I would upload the different makeup look there.

Review: Shu Uemura the Lightbulb Fluid Foundation

Hi guys,

Today I would like to share my review on the Shu Uemura the Lightbulb Fluid Foundation that I've tried recently.

I went to Shu Uemura to try their Lightbulb Foundation. This series have the Lighbulb Fluid Foundation which comes with a sponge, and the other which is the Lightbulb Essence Foundation. Both are more of the dewy, hydrating foundation.

The one I've tried has a better coverage, while the Essence foundation has lesser coverage, since it contains essential oil in the foundation which is more hydrating and more sheer.

Before I go into my review, I would like to share with you my skin type. I have combination skin, dry on the cheeks but oily on my T-zone area. Moreover, Singapore is really very hot and humid which is very hard to not sweat.

I bought the foundation and the foundation brush petal 55! I heard good reviews about the brush and hence thought to buy that and use it together with their foundation. πŸ˜›  For the foundation, the color I used is no. 574, I find it more of the yellowish undertone.

This foundation also have a scent to it when you apply on your face. For those who do not like scented foundation, you may need to consider this.

The below photo is how it looks after I've applied the foundation using the foundation brush.

After applying foundation.

Full makeup look

I actually like the dewy finish on my face, the effect of the foundation is what I like. It has enough coverage to cover my dark circles and some scar on my face but yet very lightweight and does not feel sticky. It helps to minimise pores a bit too.

I also wear this makeup for the whole day to test if it is long lasting and the effect of this foundation after long hours.

However, after about 4-5 hours outside, even though I'm under aircon environment, my T-zone area and under nose area start to become oily and the foundation start to melt a little. The cheek area looks fine but the pores were not as concealed, pores start to enlarge a little and the face look a little too oily glowy.

In conclusion, I think this foundation suited more for people with dry skin as it is really moisturising, it does not make you feel tight on the skin. For people with oily skin, you may need to avoid this as this will be too moisturise for you.

For people with normal/combination skin, who like natural dewy look, non-cakey makeup, you will really like this foundation. Using this foundation, please take note to apply oil or sebum control primer on the oily area before applying this foundation. Besides, also apply a thin layer of oil control loose powder on those area to make it more long lasting.

Other than this, I really like the dewy finish that this foundation gives. It will be suitable to put on this makeup for party or occasions. πŸ‘πŸ‘

Hope my review helps those who are interested in this foundation. I would still think it is best for you to go try it on to see how you really like about this product before buying it. πŸ˜‰

Long ago Osaka drugstore haul!!

Hi,

It's been awhile since I last posted on my blog.

I know I owe you guys this post for a long long time...... Sorry for the delay.... >.<

I was hesitant and wonder if I should post this since I didn't buy much during my Osaka trip.

Here's all that I've bought!!

I've bought a lot of facial masks (Minon, Saborino, Queen's Premium Mask), Mote Liner Brown Black, blushers from Chifure and Cezanne. Lastly, it's the Allie sunblock.

For the 3 types of masks, I've tried all of them already. Each of them serve different purposes. For Minon, I really love it because it is for sensitive skin. It helps to soothe the skin and hydrates well. The only thing I don't like about it is that the texture of the content is sticky and thick. However, when you put it on, you will feel very comfortable and it does not cause any reaction to your skin.

As for the Queen's Premium Mask, I bought the one which is for minimising pores and cleansing mask. I actually didn't feel much of the pores minimising effect, and the sheet mask is very thick. It is not very hydrating as well for me. So I find it alright.

Lastly is the Saborino morning mask. I like this very much. When you don't have much time in the morning to apply all your skincare products step by step, this mask will save lots of preparation time!!! You just need to apply it for 1min, and it helps to hydrate your skin really well. It replaces your toner and moisturiser, yet it is not sticky which is good to use before applying your makeup.

Saborino has different flavor for their morning masks, and it is really very popular in the Japan drugstore. Their products always out of stock in most of the drugstore!! But I really think it is worth it. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Besides the facial masks, I also bought Flowfushi eyeliner. Most of you may know that their mascara is really popular. I bought it before when I went to Tokyo in 2015. However, to my oily eyelids it still do smudge a little. Therefore, I did not buy their mascara this time.

I heard a lot of good reviews about their eyeliner as well so I bought it this time. AND IT IS REALLY LONG LASTING!!!! It does not smudge, and the brush is really soft and flexible. When you draw the eyeliner especially on the lash line, it does not irritate your eyes and you can draw nicely even for beginners. Even they are so long lasting, when you remove your makeup using cleansing oil or eye-lip remover, you can still remove it easily. That's what I like about it too.

For the drugstore blushers, Chifure and Cezanne are really cheap and good!!! The blush are easy to blend and the powder texture is smooth. If I remember correctly, they each only cost a few dollars and yet the texture is amazing. For those who are visiting Japan, and if you are interested, I would strongly recommend you to get one of them. They have a wide range of products and color choices, which is also something I like about their brand.

Lastly, the Allie sunblock. It is actually from Kanebo, and what I understand from the packaging, is that this pink version is for sensitive skin, no mineral content. I chose this because I know I cannot use product with mineral content. They have another one with the turqoise color which stated moisturized hydrating sunblock.

I like this sunblock is because it has cooling effect, and it is not sticky, very comfortable when you apply on your face. However, the thing I don't like about it is that the whitening effect on the face is quite obvious, and when I apply I can smell alcohol in the content. It is still acceptable as after applying you will not smell the alcohol anymore. I wouldn't recommend it as I find it alright, not exactly one of the best sunblock I've used so far.

Ok, this is really all that I have. Hope this still helps those who are researching for Japan drugstore products that are worth buying.

Thanks for visiting my blog!!!

Eyebrow products : Kate, Laneige, Maybelline, Shu Uemura

Hi guys,

Today I would like to share with you on the eyebrow products that I've tried and really like them.

There are 4 that I would like share with you all.

[Right to Left] KATE eyebrow powder, Laneige Eyebrow Cushion-cara, Maybelline Fashion Brow powder, Shu Uemura Hard Formula Eyebrow Pencil

KATE's eyebrow powder is really nice to use as the color is not too strong to start with, and you don't have to worry that you might draw a very dark strong colored eyebrow. It is very friendly to beginners who just started learning to do makeup, and not sure on how to draw their brows. For those who've just started learning on how to do your brows, you may wanna try out KATE's eyebrow powder.

It is also suitable for those who have thick brows and would just like to top up a little color and shape the brows to perfect them. πŸ‘

However, the only thing I don't like about it is the brush included, especially the angled brush side.

Not sure if you can see it clearly on the photo above, but the brush will have splits after using it for awhile. This will affect the shape of the brows when you use it as it is too blunt no longer angled and the splits will make it difficult to draw out the shape.

Secondly, is the Laneige eyebrow cushion-cara. I love it because it is easy to draw, it has both the angled brush and another end with the brush which works like a eyebrow mascara to lighten the color of your brows. I have really dark eyebrows and yet thick. However, mine doesn't have a nice shape and this actually works for me really well.

It fulfill my needs to shape the brows and at the same time lighten the color. Besides, the brushes included is really nice to use and it does not splits even after using it for quite some time.

Ta-daaaa~ This is how it looks like using the Laneige eyebrow cushion-cara. It is really easy to use and it gives a natural look to the eyebrows. Besides, I think it is sweat-proof and very long lasting.

At least in this humid and hot weather here in Singapore, it lasted whole day without smudging and not even lightening after long hours.

Please give it a try, it is really good.  HAHAHA....πŸ™†

Third, the Maybelline Fashion Brow. THIS IS REALLY LONG LASTING, AND SWEAT PROOF.

This is also one of my favourite eyebrow product and the brushes provided is really good to use as well. It is a drugstore product, not expensive and yet very good product to use!!! Really love it!!

Alright, but this is really strong in color, you really need to be careful on the application or otherwise it will be too strong on the brows. Other than that, this is really a good product.

I would advise that you do layering, and each time just apply a bit to shape the outline of the brows first. Add on bit by bit till you are satisfied with the color.

I uses it on the above makeup look. Not bad right? hehe....

Lastly, the Shu Uemura Hard Formula Eyebrow Pencil. I love this too. When you don't have time to slowly shape your brows, and then do the shading and filling up the brows, use this!! It saves a lot of time and you just need to lightly shade it on your brows.

It will gives you a very nice natural look on the brows. Sometimes I don't even need the brush to even the color on my brows after drawing them. 😊

The above photo, is the makeup look using the Shu Uemura eyebrow pencil. Very natural too!!

That's the 4 eyebrow products that I would like to share with you guys. Hope this helps some of you who are looking for eyebrow products and not sure which one to get.

Innisfree My Palette!

Hi,

I am back!! Sorry for not frequently updating my blog. :(

I am busy with other stuff and hence previously I don't have time to maintain my blog.

Sorry about it, from now onwards I am able to focus on sharing my products and lifestyle with you guys!!

So please continue to follow me on my blog and Instagram!!

Oh, by the way....... I have created my youtube channel!! hehe...

I am trying to make simple makeup videos and have already posted 2 videos so far...

Hope you guys can support me with my youtube channel and I hope to post more videos to share with you guys the cosmetics products that I have.

Please also leave your comments on youtube to let me know what are the areas that I should improve on so that I can make a better youtube video in the future.. πŸ™

--------------------------------------------------------

Alright, that's enough update about myself.. haha..

Let's move on to introducing you guys with the Innisfree My Palette!!!

It was launched in Singapore starting from 1 Sep and I got myself a small palette with 2 eyeshadows and 1 blusher~ Yayyyyyy~~

I have uploaded a youtube video to show the makeup look using My Palette and have posted the photo below as well.

I actually applied more on my face so show the color. If not, the eyeshadow and blusher is actually very light, u have to layer on in order to have a very strong color on the face.

They are individually packed, for eyeshadows they are SGD8 each, for the blusher is SGD11 each and the palette is SGD10. They are having a promotion for My Palette when I bought it on 1 Sep.

1 long (either blusher/contour) + 1 eyeshadow, you get 1 eyeshadow free. You can also get 3 eyeshadows and get the 4th eyeshadow free.

For those who are interested, you may go to their stores to check if the promotion is still on.

I find that the texture of the eyeshadows and blusher, they are not very fine and smooth, but they are still consider quite good and not cakey. It will fall off easily and the color is quite long lasting.

And the interesting part is you can mix and match the colours you like, is customised to your liking.

The palette I bought is a limited edition and I'm not sure if it is while stock last. So if you do like the casing, quickly get it before it is out of stock!

Hope you guys enjoy reading my blog!!

I have also included the link to my youtube video for this makeup look below:

Long time no post!! New favourite cosmetic products!

Hi,

It's been a while since my last post. I have been thinking of what to write and testing out new cosmetics recently which cause the delay in writing new post.

Recent months, my favourite youtube Hello Catie has been recommending this Lancome New Cushion 3.0 (High coverage), Shu Uemura brow sword pencil, and Suqqu eye shadow (spring collection). I was wondering how good it is and hence went to purchase all of them! HAHAHA..
πŸ˜›πŸ˜›

For Lancome cushion 3.0 and Shu Uemura Brow Sword Pencil, I bought it during Metro sale (20% off) and have asked my mum to help me get the Suqqu eyeshadow for me in Tokyo!

I really love all 3 products! Especially the cushion 3.0 which is super light weight, yet hydrating and gives you very good coverage that I do not even need to use concealer to conceal my dark circles.
As for the eyebrow pencil, it is really natural and you can easily define your brow shape with it. However, as and when you would need to go back to Shu Uemura to get their beauty advisor to shape the pencil for you. Other than that, it is really good.

Lastly, Suqqu eyeshadow. It is expensive, after converting to SGD, it cost about S$90-100? However, the texture of the eyeshadow is really amazing, and the colour of the shadow is really nice on your eyelids. This is my first time trying Suqqu and I really love their product.

I shall go buy more of Suqqu products during my Osaka trip in June. 😍

Oops, and recently I have also bought Chanel new coco rouge gloss, Nectar. Really love it, not sticky yet hydrating to my dry lip.

That's all for today!! πŸ’—πŸ’—

New cosmetics toys from Sephora SG

Hi~~~

It has been awhile since my last post. I wanted to update my blog but thinking to post only after I have received the new makeup products that I have purchased from Sephora SG.

I actually bought two items from sephora online, the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and Sigma Beauty F25 Tapered Face Brush. 😍😍

I have been longing to get these two as it was often being introduced by one of my favourite Taiwan youtuber in her videos (Hello Catie, if you are interested to watch them). In her Ride or Die Tag video, her favourite foundation is the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation, and I saw the effect of the foundation which makes me very keen to get one. So finally I have bought one! And the color I bought is Snow, the lightest tone in this foundation series from Sephora. I've actually tested the color when I'm at the store and I would still need the lightest tone for my face.

Shared some photos below on the effect after applying the Born This Way Foundation. Today will be sharing more on the foundation, will then update you guys again after using the brush!

Too Faced Born This Way, Color: Snow

Effect on face after applying the foundation

Review: 7 hours later after applying the foundation

Review: 10 hours later after applying the foundation

Some reviews on this foundation too. When you just applied on the skin, it might be a little sticky as the foundation have yet absorb into the skin totally. I did applied a thin layer of loose powder after applying the foundation and concealer, and I actually find it quite long lasting. It will not become super oily after hours without touch up, and the glowy finish is still there without much oxidization.

Therefore, I still quite like this foundation with the natural glowy look on my face, and natural to medium coverage which is enough to cover my pimple scars. 😜

For those who are interested in this foundation, please go try it out at Sephora stores. I think so far only Sephora at ION have the full range of color tone for this foundation.

Hope you guys enjoy reading this post today. And sorry for the delay in my blog posts. Please continue to show your support to my blog! πŸ™†

Hong Kong Trip~~

Hihi,

I am back from Hong Kong!! 😊 This is my first time to Hong Kong, took some photos on the things I've bought and some food and places that I went.

However, actually I don't quite enjoy my trip and realized that the expenses in Hong Kong is quite high. Even those normal food from the local cafes are quite pricey as well. πŸ˜” I also realized that the cosmetics products there are quite expensive as compared to those selling in Singapore, hence I did not buy a lot of the cosmetics skincare products during this trip.

I've gotten some new stuff like the Maybelline Fashion brow shadow, Heroine Kiss Me Mascara, and some products from Shilla Duty Free Singapore (Kose Emulsion and Sulwhasoo Eye Cream). I wanted to get the Giorgio Armani lip magnet matte lip gloss, but most of the colors are out of stock. 😭😭😭 Those in Shilla Duty Free are quite cheap, selling at $47.50. Those I saw in Hong Kong the price set at around 60 SGD? Which I think is a little expensive after seeing the price sell at Shilla Duty Free.

I ended up buying lots of stuff from Hong Kong Disneyland. HAHAHA..  (* actually didn't buy much over this trip). Bought 2 pandora charms in Disneyland and I think one of them is exclusive in Disneyland only.

I find that the food in Hong Kong is quite expensive yet food quality is just alright, not extremely good. But I've ate good dim sum over there, thanks to my friend who gave good recommendation. Oh, and yes..... Ichiran Ramen!!! (*why am I eating Japanese food in Hong Kong.... oh well) It is freaking good and I am going to try the one in Japan. The soup is really tasty, with the choice of your own for the hardness of the noodles, oiliness level, and spiciness level. They uses their own red pepper sauce, with red pepper powder. IT IS FREAKING GOOD~~~~ I really love their ramen sooo much... πŸ˜‹

Have shared some photos of my trip below. Hope you guys enjoy reading my blog~~ πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Updates about me, my recent shopping and Shiseido Synchro Skin Foundation

Hi,

I am Sherii! 😊 Today, I am not sharing any products but just wanna post something to keep you guys updated.

Recently I have bought some new cosmetic items but they are still on the way shipping to me so I thought to only share with you guys on my review once I have received and use them.

I have also shared my instagram link in my blog, will constantly post some photos as and when there so that you guys will know what I am doing recently.

By the way, just to share with you guys some photos of me below. As Chinese New Year just over, during those days when I am going out whole day visiting relatives and friends I will wear on this foundation from Shiseido. It is the Synchro Skin Foundation and the colour I bought was Golden 2.

This foundation gives you a matte velvet finish which you will feel comfortable wearing it on whole day especially on hot humid weather. However, for me this foundation is probably a little bit too dry on my skin. I noticed that when I apply this foundation, my nose area, my cheek will feel dry and a little cakey which I think it make not really suit me well. I really like this foundation as it is very light-weight and it has nice coverage for such light-weighted foundation.

Not sure if is because I did not use hydrating enough skin care product which then cause this effect when I apply this foundation.

But you guys may take a look at the effect of wearing this foundation. I would recommend this foundation to those who have combination or oily skin. It is oil free but the matte velvet finish actually gives you a very fresh look.πŸ˜‰

Oops, this is me with only foundation and eyebrows doneπŸ˜›

Hope you all will like the post I have shared today. Oh yes, I am going to Hong Kong soon!! Do follow my instagram, I will try to post some photos there about my trip too!

Will also share more with you guys once I'm back!

Thank you!!

See you~~~~πŸ’ŸπŸ’ŸπŸ’Ÿ

My daily makeup products

Hi,

I am Sherii. Today, I would like to share with you guys on the cosmetics products I've used daily.

My daily makeup are the most basic stuffs like applying toner, sunblock, foundation and eyebrow powder (Sometimes concealer, depending on the coverage of the foundation I use).

So, let's check it out on what I am using. 😁

These are my basic items that I use everyday.

First, after cleansing I will use Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion. Then, apply Orbis Sunblock (UV Cut Sunscreen Freence) before applying my foundation. Recently, I really love the glow and natural look on my face from Laneige new BB cushion (very light weight and not cakes at all). Lastly, apply eyebrow powder from Kate designing eyebrow.

These would be the necessary that I use daily. It gives you the very natural look and your skin won't feel dry for the whole day.

Like I mentioned in my first post that I am combination/dry skin (T-zone area will be oily few hours after cleansing), but I realised that hydrating your skin is very important so the steps before applying makeup is really crucial. You must make sure that your skin is hydrating enough, and apply sunblock to protect your skin from UV rays (especially the weather in Singapore is really hot and humid!)

Sometimes your skin becomes oily due to lack of hydration, and your skin will produce oil to protect the outer layer of the skin.

To share a bit more, the Laneige new BB cushion (whitening, color: C13), I personally think this new cushion is a lot better than the previous one. It is so light weighted, it doesn't make your skin look dry and cakey. It gives a natural glow on your face with medium coverage that it actually covers my redness on the cheek and brighten your skin.

For those who actually looking for a light weight BB cushion, you can try this one. 😊

As for the eyebrow powder, I love it because it is really easy to apply and the color tone is really nice and long lasting. Even after you sweat, the eyebrow powder still stays and will not fade off.

For concealer, I recently only use this one.

ClΓ© de Peau Concealer Stick (Beige)

Yes! It is the ClΓ© de Peau Concealer Stick!! Ok, I have tried a few concealer, because I have very bad dark circles. Some other concealers that I have tried before doesn't give me good coverage but natural non-cakey look. Only this one does! It has very good coverage for dark circles, and yet a very natural finish. Hence, after using this, I did not use other concealers for now. This is really good. πŸ‘

Alright, today's post is a little lengthy. Hope you guys enjoy reading my post today, and hope the information I have shared is useful to you guys. I will update my blog another day!! Please continue following my blog post!!

Thank you!! 😍

My daily facial wash FANCL Cleansing Powder

Hi,

I am Sheri, and today I would like to share with all of you on the facial wash that I use everyday!

Somewhere in Dec last year, I actually bought some FANCL products since it is known for preservative free and I thought to give it a try as it should be suitable for sensitive skin. So one of the product that I've bought was the FANCL cleansing powder.

It comes with a small sponge ball which helps to foam up quickly. I must say that the foam from the cleansing powder is really creamy, and soft to the skin! This was actually my second time buying cleansing powder and I thought the texture of the foam is really good!

It cleanses really well too and does not make your skin feel tight and dry after cleansing. For those who have normal or dry skin is suitable too. πŸ˜†

Have shared some photos of the product below. For those who are interested, you may go to FANCL store to try it out.

Pour a 50 cent coin size of powder on palm.

Wet the sponge ball  and squeeze the excess water out before foaming.

Rub the sponge ball with the powder on the palm to create the foam, before applying it on the face.

Do take note of the expiry for the product as it is preservative free, the products have a shorter expiry date.

Hope you all like my post today! Have a great weekend!! πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Blog Start!!

Hi,

I am Sherii, and this is my first time writing a blog. 😝 I am feeling excited as I have many things that I want to share especially my love for cosmetics and skincare!!

To share with all of you, I actually have dry/combination sensitive skin. My T-zone will become oily a few hours after I washed my face, but very dry skin especially on the cheeks. I am prone to redness on the cheeks, which I believe is partially cause by using unsuitable products.

I will be sharing more with you guys on the products that I am using, which products that I find unsuitable for my skin and what are the hot selling products in the market right now. So for those who have shared the same skin condition as me, please follow my blog post and would love to share what my experience with you!

Thanks for reading my introduction!! And here's the start of my blog!! πŸ˜„

Review on Shiseido Essential Energy Moisturizing Cream

Hi guys!! It has been awhile since I last update my blog!! I am currently focusing on managing my instagram as well as my youtube channel...
